Smart routing
Route every transaction to the MID most likely to approve it
Build routing rules on BIN, card brand, country, currency, amount, product and MID health. Each payment goes where it has the best chance of approval.
Rules on real signals
Route on BIN, card brand, issuing country, currency, amount and product.
Health-aware
Rules take MID caps and recent performance into account before sending a charge.
Change in minutes
Edit rules from the dashboard. New transactions follow them as soon as you save.
Not every MID approves every card
Approval rates vary by issuer, card type and geography. A MID that performs well on domestic debit cards may struggle with foreign credit cards. Smart routing lets you match each transaction to the account that handles it best.
The conditions you can route on
Rules combine one or more conditions and point to a MID or a group of MIDs. They are evaluated in order, so you can start broad and add specific exceptions as you learn.
- BIN or BIN range, to target specific issuers
- Card brand and card type
- Issuing country and customer country
- Currency and order amount
- Product, offer or funnel step
- MID caps, remaining volume and health status
Respecting caps and MID health
Each MID can have daily and monthly caps. When an account approaches its limit, or is paused, routing skips it and uses the next eligible MID. You stop overloading one account while others sit idle.
Learn from your own data
Analytics show approval rate by MID, BIN and country. When you see a pattern, for example one issuer declining often on a specific MID, you can add a rule to send those cards elsewhere.

How it works
Smart routing, step by step.
- Step 01
Group your MIDs
Organise accounts by processor, region or product line.
- Step 02
Create rules
Combine conditions such as country, BIN and amount and choose a target.
- Step 03
Set a fallback
Define a default route for transactions that match no specific rule.
- Step 04
Review and refine
Use approval data per MID and BIN to tune rules over time.
FAQ
Questions about smart routing.
What happens if no rule matches a transaction?
It follows your default route. Every setup has a fallback so no transaction is left without a destination.
Can I route by product or offer?
Yes. You can send specific products, offers or funnel steps to dedicated MIDs, which is useful when accounts are approved for different product categories.
Does routing work with cascades?
Yes. Routing chooses the first MID. If the charge is soft declined, the cascade logic decides whether to retry and on which backup MID.
Can routing use MID caps?
Yes. When a MID reaches its daily or monthly cap, it is skipped automatically until volume is available again.
Do I need to write code to create rules?
No. Rules are built from the dashboard with simple conditions and targets.
