Getting started

What is LumniPay?

LumniPay is a payment orchestration platform for high-growth and high-risk e-commerce brands. It routes each transaction across your processors and merchant accounts, retries declines through a cascade, and adds checkout, upsells, subscriptions, risk controls and analytics on top.

How do I get access to LumniPay?

LumniPay is available exclusively through Tagada, the e-commerce CRM. You apply from your Tagada account, your business is reviewed, and LumniPay is activated there once approved. We do not open accounts directly.

What does the onboarding flow look like?

You submit an application through Tagada with details about your business, products, websites and processing history. The application is reviewed, processing partners underwrite your account, and once approved you configure routing, checkout and risk rules before going live.

How long does onboarding take?

Typically a few business days, depending on the review. Complete and accurate documents, clear websites and a clean processing history help keep things moving. Some verticals or partners may require additional checks.

Is LumniPay a payment processor or a bank?

No. LumniPay is a technology platform. It is not a bank, payment institution, processor or acquirer. Payments are processed by licensed third-party partners under their own terms, and LumniPay orchestrates how transactions flow between them.

Which businesses can apply?

We work with many e-commerce models, including high-risk verticals, as long as they operate lawfully and transparently. Check our Acceptable Use Policy before applying. Tagada and processing partners may apply stricter rules of their own.

Routing & approvals

How does smart routing work?

You define rules based on criteria such as card brand, BIN, country, amount, currency or product. LumniPay sends each transaction to the processor or merchant account most likely to approve it, while respecting the limits and caps you set.

What is a cascade retry?

When a transaction is declined for a reason that can be retried, LumniPay can automatically try it on another eligible merchant account, within card network and partner rules. The customer stays on the same checkout and does not have to re-enter their details.

Can I spread volume across several merchant accounts?

Yes. You can split traffic by percentage, cap monthly volume per account, and set fallbacks, which helps you stay within each account's limits and avoid concentration risk.

Will LumniPay increase my approval rate?

Routing and retries are designed to recover transactions that would otherwise be lost, and many merchants see better results. Outcomes still depend on issuers, partners and your traffic quality, so we do not guarantee a specific approval rate.

Can I bring my own processors?

Supported processors and merchant accounts can be connected during onboarding, subject to compatibility and the partner's approval. Our team will confirm what can be connected for your setup.

Risk & chargebacks

What risk controls are included?

You can set velocity limits, block lists, country and BIN rules, amount thresholds and other filters, and review risk signals on every transaction. Rules apply before a payment is sent to a processor.

How does LumniPay help with chargebacks?

The dashboard tracks dispute and chargeback ratios per merchant account so you can act before thresholds are reached. Routing rules can move volume away from accounts under pressure, and risk filters help stop problematic orders earlier.

Who handles chargeback disputes?

Disputes are managed under the rules of the processing partner that handled the transaction. You remain responsible for responding with evidence such as proof of delivery, terms accepted at checkout and customer communications.

What happens if my chargeback ratio gets too high?

Processing partners set their own thresholds. If they are exceeded, partners may apply reserves, limits or suspension, and LumniPay may also restrict features under our terms. Clear billing, easy cancellation and responsive support are the best prevention.

Are free trials and subscriptions allowed?

Yes, as long as they are transparent. The recurring price, billing frequency and cancellation method must be clear before payment. Deceptive trials and hidden negative-option billing are prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.

Pricing & payouts

How much does LumniPay cost?

LumniPay charges a per-transaction rate, shown on our pricing page and confirmed with you during onboarding. Fees from Tagada and from processing partners are separate.

Are there setup fees or long contracts?

Your pricing and any commitments are confirmed in writing during onboarding, so there are no surprises. Ask the team if you have specific requirements.

Who pays out my funds?

Funds are settled and paid out by the processing partner that handled each transaction. LumniPay does not hold or move merchant funds.

How fast are payouts?

Payout timing is set by the processing partner during underwriting. It depends on your business model, history and risk profile, and can differ between partners.

Will there be a reserve on my account?

Reserves, if any, are set by the processing partner during underwriting, and may be adjusted over time based on your performance. LumniPay does not set or hold reserves.

Can I see all my revenue in one place?

Yes. The analytics dashboard brings together transactions, approvals, refunds and disputes across all your connected processors and merchant accounts.

Security & compliance

Does LumniPay store card numbers?

No. Card data is entered into secure fields and tokenised by our processing partners. We keep only tokens and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits, used for routing, retries, subscriptions and support.

How is my data protected?

We use encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, network isolation and audit logging. Access to production systems is limited to authorised staff.

Is LumniPay GDPR and CCPA friendly?

Yes. We act as a processor or service provider for your customers' data and as a controller for our own website and account data. Our Privacy Policy explains the details, including international transfers and data subject rights.

Who is responsible for compliance with card network rules?

You are responsible for your products, marketing and customer experience, and must follow the rules of your processing partners and the card networks. LumniPay provides tools that make compliance easier, such as clear checkout disclosures and risk controls.

Who operates LumniPay?

LumniPay is operated by Lumnipay LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. Company details are listed in our legal pages and in the website footer.
