Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated November 5, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy describes the businesses and practices that may not use the LumniPay platform. It forms part of our Terms of Service. LumniPay supports many high-risk verticals, but every Merchant must operate lawfully and transparently.
1. 1. Scope
This policy applies to every Merchant using LumniPay, to its products, services and marketing, and to any website, funnel or checkout connected to the platform.
Stricter rules may apply
Tagada and our processing partners may apply rules stricter than this policy. A business that is not listed below may still be declined, restricted or subject to additional review by Tagada or a processing partner.
2. 2. Prohibited businesses
You may not use LumniPay to sell, promote or facilitate:
- Any goods or services that are illegal in the jurisdiction of the Merchant or of the buyer.
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, and parts or accessories designed to make them more dangerous, where prohibited by law or partner rules.
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia, and products intended to mimic illegal drugs.
- Prescription-only medicines without a valid prescription and the required licences.
- Products making unapproved medical, health or disease claims, including claims to cure, treat or prevent disease that are not authorised by the relevant regulator.
- Adult content involving minors, non-consent, violence or exploitation of any kind, and any content that is illegal.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries or games of chance without the required licences in every jurisdiction served.
- Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, chain letters, and multi-level marketing where income depends mainly on recruitment.
- Get-rich-quick schemes, guaranteed investment returns and unlicensed financial, investment or credit services.
- Counterfeit goods, replicas, and products that infringe trademarks, copyrights or other intellectual property rights, including the unauthorised use of brand names.
- Stolen goods, personal data sold without consent, and hacking or surveillance tools intended for unlawful use.
- Content or services that promote hatred, violence, terrorism or discrimination.
- Any business subject to sanctions, or dealing with sanctioned persons or territories.
3. 3. Prohibited practices
Regardless of what you sell, you may not:
- Engage in transaction laundering, meaning processing payments for another business, product or website that has not been disclosed and approved.
- Split a single transaction into several smaller ones to avoid limits, risk rules or authorisation controls.
- Use a billing descriptor that is misleading, does not match your approved business, or is changed to avoid customer recognition or disputes.
- Run deceptive free trials or negative-option billing, for example hiding the recurring price, making cancellation difficult, or charging without clear prior consent.
- Retry declined transactions in ways that breach card network or partner rules.
- Use fake reviews, false scarcity, fabricated endorsements or misleading before and after claims in your marketing.
- Charge customers for goods or services that you do not intend to deliver.
- Process payments on behalf of third parties (factoring or aggregation) without written approval.
- Attempt to bypass, probe or interfere with the security or risk controls of the platform.
4. 4. Transparency requirements
Every Merchant must clearly display, before checkout: the total price and any recurring charges, the billing frequency, how to cancel, refund and return policies, shipping terms, and working customer support contact details. Subscription and trial terms must be shown near the payment button and confirmed after purchase.
5. 5. Monitoring and enforcement
We may review Merchant websites, funnels, transactions and dispute data to check compliance with this policy. If we believe a Merchant is in breach, we may request changes, restrict features, suspend or terminate access, and inform Tagada and the relevant processing partners.
Excessive chargeback, refund or fraud rates may lead to the same measures, even where no specific prohibited activity is identified.
6. 6. Reporting and questions
If you are unsure whether your business is permitted, ask before you apply. To report suspected misuse of the platform, contact admin@lumnipay.com.
